Sun, Spanish, And Peeling Skin

Hello friends and family in Canada and other places where you may live. Here in Central America we have spent the last week in the beautiful town of San Juan doing all kinds of fun things. We have been learning Spanish every morning and in the afternoons we have been up to all kinds of shenanigans, including service projects, small groups, and soccer games. We also were working on recovering from the sunburns that some of us acquired over our weekend in Monte Rico. On Thursday at 8 we all piled onto a school bus for an epic road trip to El Salvador. After seven hours of sweating and strange smells we made it to our resort.  Over the weekend we have had many opportunities to burn the nice new layer of skin. We have also been swimming in the ocean and a few brave souls even attempted surfing. All is going well as we plunge into knowing yourself week.
